Patio and Driveway Cleaning in Camberley, Surrey
Hello, are you thinking of having your patio and driveway cleaning in Camberley, Surrey? Then maybe this portfolio post will help convince you that we at Integrity Window Cleaning are the best choice to carry out the work.
The owner of this property wanted the patio and driveway cleaned before they put the house on the market to be sold, you can understand why when you look at the difference between the before and after photos.
If the garden and driveway is the first thing that a prospective buyer sees when they come to view a house it makes sense that it looks as good as possible.
We began work in the morning on the driveway. I always like to start by cleaning away any plant pots or ornaments that are near to the area being cleaned I do this for two reasons.
First, it protects anything valuable from getting damaged. Second, it saves time, its means we don’t have to spend lots of times soft washing pots and ornaments, which ultimately means less time on the job, and therefore less expense to the you the customer.
During the process of cleaning patio and driveways, a lot of debris is removed, for block paved driveways this consists of moss and other vegetation, however a percentage is sand.
Because block paving is not secured on a bed of mortar, it requires kiln dried sand to be brushed in. The sand provides the essential friction which then generates the horizontal and vertical interlock that allows those little blocks to carry such relatively big loads. Without the jointing sand, the pavement would, literally, fall apart, so it must be replaced. Please don’t listen to anyone who says is doesn’t

Re-sanding can be done on the same day as long as the weather is hot, however the day we cleaned the driveway in Camberley it was very damp, so I went back a few days later and completed the work.
After the driveway and side path was completed we moved onto the sandstone patio at the rear of the property.
The customer had told us that previous contractors had caused alot of the mortar jointing to become dislodged during cleaning. Whilst this can happen when cleaning poorly laid or maintained patios we take every care to avoid this by using our flat surface cleaner.
As you can see from the video the flat surface cleaner or rotary head cleaner is designed for cleaning large horizontal areas. The jets underneath are angled so as to cause as little damage as possible to the joint. During the course of this clean, no joints were disturbed on the polished sandstone.
The patio at the rear of the property that we cleaned in Camberley consisted of polish sandstone. Polished sandstone is a beautiful product, but as soon as a little bit of algae begins to grow it becomes very slippery even when it is dry. To avoid this I recommend the patio is cleaned at least once a year.
After the patio and driveway was cleaned in Camberley, Surrey, we clean all the windows and put back all of the garden furniture. I believe a job is only completed when everything is put back the way it should be. The only evidence that we were there is the clean patio and driveway,
